科思创上海一体化基地Deacon II项目（盐酸氧化装置）近日正式运行。

The hydrogen chloride oxidation plant Deacon II at Covestro Integrated Site Shanghai (CISS) has officially started up recently.

据介绍，Deacon II装置的最大产能与效率较Deacon I将提高约20%。

The maximum capacity and efficiency of the Deacon II plant is increased by about 20% compared to Deacon I.

Deacon II的运行将为科思创上海一体化基地每年增加额外16万吨低成本、低能耗的氯气产量。

The start of the new Deacon II plant will provide Covestro an additional chlorine production of 160,000 metric tons per year with lower cost and lower energy consumption.

通过取代外购氯气，Deacon项目将使科思创上海一体化基地内的氯化氢/氯气管网循环利用率提高至98%，相应的二氧化碳排放量从每年超过15万吨降至9千吨，相当于每年减少73000辆轿车的排放量。

With Deacon, 98% of the hydrogen chlorine generated during the production of isocyanates is recycled at the Shanghai site. As a result, the corresponding CO2 emissions fall from over 150,000 to just over 9,000 metric tons per year compared with external supply. That is equivalent to the emissions from about 73,000 cars per year.

科思创高级副总裁、上海一体化基地总经理陈耘博士表示：“Deacon II 装置的正式运行是科思创上海一体化基地积极推进可持续生产的一个重要成果。”

Visa Moves To Allow Payment Settlements Using Cryptocurrency

据外媒报道，Visa周一表示，将允许在其支付网络上使用加密货币美元来结算交易。

Visa said on Monday it will allow the use of the cryptocurrency USD Coin to settle transactions on its payment network.

报道称，Visa已经与支付和加密平台Crypto.com启动了试点项目，并计划在今年晚些时候向更多合作伙伴提供这一选项。

Visa has launched the pilot program with payment and crypto platform Crypto.com and plans to offer the option to more partners later this year, it said.

Visa加密货币主管库伊·谢菲尔德表示：“我们看到全球消费者对获取、持有和使用数字货币的需求日益增长，我们也看到客户希望为消费者提供这种渠道产品的需求。”

“We see increasing demand from consumers across the world to be able to access, hold and use digital currencies and we’re seeing demand from our clients to be able to build products that provide that access for consumers,” Cuy Sheffield, head of crypto at Visa, said.

Visa这一最新举措将使用以太坊区块链，消除了将数字货币转换为传统货币以进行交易结算的步骤。

Visa’s latest step, which will use the ethereum blockchain, strips out the need to convert digital coin into traditional money in order for the transaction to be settled.

Visa表示，它已与数字资产银行Anchorage合作，并于本月与Crypto.com完成了第一笔交易，将美元币（USDC）发送到Visa位于Anchorage的以太坊地址。

Visa said it has partnered with digital asset bank Anchorage and completed the first transaction this month — with Crypto.com sending USDC to Visa’s Ethereum address at Anchorage.

工业用地需求不断攀升

Demand For Industrial Land Is Rising

据外媒报道，商业地产服务公司世邦魏理仕的数据显示，去年北美地区对大型工业设施（包括20万平方英尺或以上的仓库或配送中心）的需求创下纪录。

Demand for industrial, big-box facilities — warehouses or distribution centers of 200,000 square feet or more — hit a record in North America last year, according to commercial real estate services firm CBRE.

据该公司数据，2020年，在全球最大的22个市场中，这类空间的成交面积总计达3.493亿平方英尺（约3245万平方米），较2019年增长近25%。

Transactions for those spaces totaled 349.3 million square feet in 2020 across the top 22 markets, a nearly 25% jump from 2019, according to CBRE.

2021年，电子商务的增速可能会放缓，因为人们又可以放心地在商店购物了，但房地产高管表示，工业空间仍将是一个热门市场。

The pace of e-commerce growth will likely slow in 2021, as people feel comfortable shopping at stores again, but real estate executives say industrial space will remain a hot market.

“The pandemic has had a huge impact on the growth of demand of warehousing and fulfillment,” Mindy Lissner, a CBRE executive vice president said. “And the trend is going to continue.”

亚马逊最大的房东、房地产投资信托公司普洛斯估计，每实现10亿美元的销售额，电商企业就需要120万平方英尺（约11万平方米）的配送空间。

Prologis, a real estate investment trust that owns warehouses and is Amazon’s biggest landlord, estimates that for every $1 billion in sales, e-commerce companies require 1.2 million square feet of distribution space.
